In addition to founding Allied Property Group in 1993 closing hundreds of Millions of lease and sale transactions since them, Mr. Torelli co-founded AMFIT, a fitness company with operations in Greenwich, Stamford and Norwalk, Connecticut. AMFIT was later purchased by the New York Sports Clubs.
As a sole owner and developer, Tom Torelli purchased a property in downtown Greenwich and built a successful $10+ Million upscale multi-unit residential project, Woodland Ledges. With partners, Mr. Torelli contracted, purchased and obtained approvals for the largest tract of commercial property in downtown Greenwich and later sold the project to the current owner for $15.5 Million. Most recently, LARACO, LLC was founded by Thomas Torelli and his partners to purchase and develop a site at 376 Greenwich Avenue. This is a Greenwich Avenue tear-down with a total development cost of $10 Million. The result will be 16,000 square feet over 4 stories that will include retail and office space and luxury apartments.
These and other projects have provided Allied with a wealth of knowledge regarding the valuation of properties, costs involved with development, construction and best practices for obtaining approvals. This knowledge, in turn, allows the company to provide the best advice and counsel to its clients, including sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants. Mr. Torelli has also sat on the Great Chefs Board for the United Way, The Greenwich Chamber of Commerce the board of the Audubon Society of Greenwich Executives for Conservation and currently serves on the board as a Director of the Greenwich Property Owners Association.
